We took advantage of the 3 day holiday weekend, and headed for a very cool camp spot. Dave has connections and got us written permission to stay on private property. I really like camping here because it reminds me more of northern Utah. It is at an elevation of about 8100 feet with spring water coming out of the hill, surrounded by Quaken Aspen trees. I drank a lot of fresh yummy spring water.
One thing is for sure we have a pretty good tent. On Saturday night it kept us dry from the rain, and on Sunday night it survived the heavy winds, it remained standing, despite the two cracks in the poles caused by the wind.
We look forward to returning soon to collect Pinenuts because this is the only place we have seen with new pinecones coming on.

Looks like fun Jaime! We went camping too and got hit by the wind and rain. Still was a blast though!
We went camping and it rained and rained and rained some more. We thought we would wake up to a lake in the camp ground, but nothing the ground was so dry. It is always fun to camp.
Hopefully no "bears" attacked!! :)
